Halloween is almost here! In first grade we played hide and seek ghosts. We drew our ghosts on white paper with a white crayon and then we painted over them with watercolor paints to make them magically appear. We had so much fun!
In Second Grade, we are learning about polygons. We learned about Pablo Picasso, an artist who used alot of polygons in his work and also was part of the cubism movement. We did our own Picasso style faces with polygons in the background.
In Kindergarten we are learning about the Statue of Liberty. We learned alot about different types of sculptures in art class, and then constructed our own paper sculptures.
Apple witch faces are fun for Halloween, so we decided to make our own "shrunken heads" for Halloween. This week we carved our apple heads to look like scary witches!
In Kindergarten we are working on cutting and pasting. We learned about artist Wassily Kandinsky and his colorful circle pictures. We practiced our cutting skills by picking out different colors and making our own circles!
In Third grade we are learning about the Sun and the Moon. We created our own outerspace scenes with oil pastels and then painted over them with black paint to finish our cosmic creations!
