We each made a quilt square in first grade about something we were grateful for. We then pieced the squares together to create a first grade quilt about the things we are grateful for!
Last week we had some special guests from the Springville Museum of Art visit our school and do a demo on how to draw figures. We had a great time posing for the gesture drawings!
Our 4th and 5th grade students had a special opportunity to decorate a tree in the lobby of Zion's bank. We created our decorations with glue and q-tips. We made glue snowmen and q-tip snowflakes. We had so much fun and many of us attended the "lights on" ceremony and got free cookies!
In Fifth Grade we learned about quilting and the different geometric designs we see in quilt squares. We created our own symmetrical quilt square and filled it with textures and colors we found in magazines. It is a work in progress but will look wonderful when we put all of the pieces together!
